Here at August 25, 2014, the past several weeks has been witness to the Hobby Lobby SCOTUS decision on employer-controlled employee birth control; more violence upon the Palestinians by Israel; the fatal police shootings of unarmed Black Americans, teenager Michael Brown, toy gun wielding John Crawford, and many more; militarized police firing tear gas and rubber bullets at peaceful protesters; journalists being harassed by police; police brutality; politicians; public opinion split down racial and economic lines; and plenty of covering up and control. The Untied States Of Americain't needs a serious healing, these trumpet sounds and the thought formed from meditating on the splatter are mere sutures.

These 50 improvised vibration paintings were created utilizing pocket trumpet, breath, 6"x9" dura-lar, and sumi ink atop synthetic buffalo drum. Improvisations lasted between 1-2 minutes and can be heard by touching the play button on each page. Created July/August 2014.

Due to interruptions in the recording process, trumpet tracks for numbers four, twenty-two, and thirty-two
have been replaced with haiku written and read by the author.
